Greenwich Local Labour and Business (GLLaB)

GLLaB offers a Pre-apprenticeship programme for 16-18 year olds who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) or who are at risk of becoming a NEET.

Young people must be 16-18 years old and must be registered with GLLAB to access support.

GLLaB offers:

Retail - non-accredited three day course.

Construction Skills Certification Skills (CSCS) one day course.

City & Guilds basic construction skills 6218 – 8 week course via Flower Skills.

Tunnelling and Underground Construction Academy (TUCA) – 2 week course in theory and practical elements for safety in tunnelling and underground construction environment. Available to ages 19+ Linked to apprenticeships / employment with Crossrail.

Access to various Apprenticeship Opportunities within the Royal Borough of Greenwich

NEET project in partnership with The Point – CSCS, Trade tasters and employability.

Employability Skills – 3 day non-accredited.

Principles of Customer Service – accredited by Worldhost one day course.

Food Safety Level 2 Chartered Institute for Environmental Health accredited.

Horticulture including Employability Skills training programme. 15 day programme.

Hospitality course - 4 weeks, 2 weeks training and 2 weeks work experience. Includes Food Safety and Health and Safety. Chartered Institute for Environmental Health accredited.

Also includes a practical knife skills session Delivered by De Vere. Linked to apprenticeship and employment opportunities
