We offer free high quality information, advice and practical and emotional support services for Adult Carers who live (or care for someone who lives) in the Greenwich borough.

We are able to offer telephone, face to face or home visiting support and can design services to meet the needs of each individual Carer.

We also offer a range of therapeutic services and social activities at The Stables, 76 Hornfair Road, Charlton, London, SE7 7BD

Information and Advice:


Our services are designed to help a Carer understand and navigate their way around the vast amounts of local and national information and, to find available support services.

Reception: Our reception facilities at The Stables SE7 are available Monday through to Friday 8am to 7pm and Saturdays between 10am and 2pm.

Telephone: Our 0300 555 1515 Carer Advice Line number offers Carers the opportunity to speak to a fully trained member of staff from the comfort of their own home.

Email or Text: Carers can contact us on our Carers Advice Email - advice@greenwichcarerscentre.org  or text us on 07432 570119 Carers Advice Officers will respond to messages as soon as possible.


Support Services:

Our team of Adult Carer Support Officers have been supporting Carers for many years, answering questions and offering advice, guidance and practical help.

Our current services include:

Keep in Touch Scheme: Carers receive a regular telephone call at times of crisis to check that things are ok.

Carer’s Buddy Register: Carers are put in touch with other Carers looking for friendship, a mentor or a friendly listening ear.

Extra Support Scheme: Carers can receive up to 6 weeks of intensive and flexible support to help them through a difficult time.

Carers Contingency Planning Service: An opportunity for Carers to focus on what to do in an Emergency and to write a plan of action.

Looking to the Future Scheme: Time and space to think about the future and how to plan to make things easier.

Talking Therapy Scheme: Face to face, telephone or group counselling support for Carers.

Direct Payment Advice and Guidance: Support for Carers helping someone manage a Direct Payment to employ staff or purchase goods

Social Activities: A range of activities aimed at enabling Carers (and those for whom caring has recently stopped) to learn, meet others and have fun.


The Stables – Therapeutic Services:

The Stables offers a new way for Carers to: find support, enjoy their own company, share time with the person they are supporting or, meet others and make new friends. Our Jacobean Spa offers accessible and luxurious bathing facilities, our Courtyard Bistro features a range of delicious meals and our door to door chauffeur service can help you get to and from the Stables.


Our Other Services:

Our South Thames Carers Support Scheme offers fully trained care workers that provide a range of respite services to Carers and those they care for. Carers can choose and book their own STCS care worker through the P2P Community Marketplace or call us at the office.

The P2P Community Marketplace can be used to find a care worker, find a PA to employ, join a group activity, select a local tradesperson or find a Volunteer.
