Therapeutic and practical parenting course for prospective parents/parents. Designed mainly for first time young parents where there are concerns about their readiness for parenting. Aims to strengthen confidence and parenting capacity, improve relationship building skills and the ability to provide appropriate child stimulation and monitoring. Programme runs for nine weeks for three hours per week.
Ante and post natal support for vunerable and/or disadvantaged women. Women may be referred if they are experiencing domestic violence, substance or alcohol misuse, mental health concerns, previous pregnancy concerns (including safeguarding and parenting capacity). Support at Queen Elizabeth (QE) hospital and in some Children's Centres including Robert Owen on Thursdays between 10-12 (by appointment only).
