Action for Blind People is a national charity with local reach, providing practical help and support to blind and partially sighted people of all ages. We listen, we understand, we act. This can mean supporting people to find or keep a job, dealing with housing issues, helping people to go on holiday and providing sports clubs for visually impaired children.
We have a range of programmes running during the week and at weekends dependent on ability. They are usually half days and participants can enjoy going afloat, enjoying the River Thames and adding to their skills set. We also have a team of qualified Mentors who offer advice and a friendly, listening ear.
